  26.  Host 2.0 Message bases now support Threading. You can follow a string of
  27.  messages from beginning to end, including sub-threads that are threads of
  28.  messages that are replies to replies. You can Show the original message
  29.  of the thread you are in at any time its applicable to a threaded message.

  31.  The New Message bases now support variable length messages set by MsgEdit
  32.  from 1-400 lines per section. --
  33.  There are 4 new menu commands for searching by subject:

  39.  The Security level set for the Combined Read now sets the access level
  40.  required by the user to post a new message to that section. This means
  41.  that even replies cannot be sent if you make it so the new user can read
  42.  messages,but the access level for the section is higher than the
  43.  users level.

  45.  The command line of the Message base, now supports a (CR) as next, and
  46.  requires an explicit command "Q" hot key to exiting reading messages.
  47.  (Note: The file sections also work the same way when listing files.)

  49.  The Userlog now remembers the highest message read, so you can on
  50.  subsequent logins read messages that you have not read yet, as well as
  51.  new messages since the last call.

  53.  Cancelling a message now asks you if you wish to abort message entry or

  55.  You are prompted for a new subject for every message, so that the message
  56.  header will be able to reflect the message contents if you wish. Entering
  57.  a (CR) will leave the Subject as it was. Entering a Control-X will clear
  58.  the subject line for a new subject.

  61.  user it was sent to.

  67.  The Menus now support 24 restriction flags for each menu item. These
  68.  items can be set to "match" or "not to match" the users restriction flags
  69.  set by the default settings in the config file for each user as they
  70.  login. Also any combination of flags can be set giving virtually
  71.  thousands of combinations of access in combination with the 255 levels of
  72.  security access.

  74.  The Userlog supports the restriction flags set for each user and can be
  75.  edited and maintained with UserEdit. As well as Survey commands and
  76.  online Sysop editing commands.

  81.  You can now choose to set in the config file the following new itewill be logged off, and will not be able to call for 12 hours
  82.  from 3PM now... or 3AM.

  84.  If John doe had only used 15 minutes the first call at 9AM, and made
  85.  a subsequent call at 3PM, he would have his time on the system reduced to
  86.  15 minutes, and if his time limit expired, he would not be able to login
  87.  again until 3:15AM.

  89.  You can now support 19,200,9600,2400,1200,300 baud, with 300 baud lockout
  90.  if you do not wish to support 300 baud users.

  92.  A Network Mail application can be configured for a timed launch in the
  93.  config file. You set the time in hours, minutes and seconds in the config
  94.  file and the path to the Netmail application, and Host will reduce any
  95.  callers time limit accordingly if he calls to close to launch time and
  96.  will log them off and then initiate the application pathed in the config
  97.  file.

  99.  You can now Disable the local Echo, this closes the terminal window for
  100.  Host, which is a standard movable window. With the terminal Window
  101.  closed, thruput to the user is much greatewill be faster than 1.4.
  102.  Downloads are not affected by this.

  104.  Host can now keep track of the total number of calls your system
  105.  receives if you keep a file called Cumulative calls in the same folder
  106.  with Host.

  112.  You can only click in the status bar to cancel a file transfer instead of
  113.  anywhere as before.

  117.  There is now a Newuser.msg and a Logoff.msg that are displayed accordingly,
  118.  the newuser.msg will only display for a new user on his first call. The
  119.  logoff.msg displays whenever a command 1 logoff command is executed. They
  120.  are placed in the same folder as Host.

  122.  MultiFinder compatability & MultiLine:

  124.  It is now possible to configure Host to share specific files and run
  125.  independant BBS's, one thru the modem port and the other thru the Printer
  126.  port under MulitFinder. They share the follofiles; Message files,
  127.  Userlog, menus & files by the proper pathing in the config file. Each
  128.  System will still require its own config file and main menu, Modem files
  129.  and welcome files to run.
  130.  Surveys

  133.  There are additional Survey commands that enhance the current survey
  134.  commands that are in 1.4 as well as Survey commands that support voting.

  137.  New command 0 (zero) This command converts last input to upper case.

  139.  New command 19, place ascii character specified in "Text" to the
  140.  scratch file

  142.  New Command 20, clears the scratch file and branches to a label. This is
  143.  useful for surveys that display a fair amount of text before asking for
  144.  input and allows the user a second chance to input should he make a
  145.  mistake. without having to start the survey over.

  147.  New command 21, If users download to upload ratio is is less than the
  148.  number in "Text", go to "branch".

  150.  4 new Survey commands to set or unset restriction flags either
  151.  permanently or temporarily for that user whn affect the Menu
  152.  displays for the user.

  154.  4 New Survey commands to initiate the text file read commands that Host
  155.  supports:

  161.  These commands are useful for validation Surveys where you can present
  162.  validation information to the user and then get his input. They can also
  163.  be used to display the "Survey Scratch" file so that the user can check
  164.  his input.

  166.  13 new Voting survey commands that can ask the user for specific input,
  167.  yes or no, or muliple choice, and then display the results of the voting
  168.  so far in percentages as well as the number of people voting yes or no,
  169.  or a,b, or c. depending on how you set up the voting survey. There are
  170.  also commands to prevent the user from voting more than once.
